Andrea has been working with children and families for over 25 years both as a teacher and education administrator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Central Missouri State University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a licensed teacher for ages birth- 8th grade. She has a fondness for special needs students and spent 5 years working with them.
Andrea believes in making a positive difference in the lives of young children and their families by providing a quality program that is innovative, safe, and educational. She oversees all aspects of Club K After School Zone, with special emphasis on programming, curriculum and activity development, and teacher training and development. She enjoys visiting the Club K sites and seeing firsthand what the students are doing. She also enjoys hearing from parents to find out how our program is meeting the needs of working parents and is constantly looking for new and exciting ways to improve Club K’s program and services.
In her spare time, Andrea likes reading, spending time outdoors, riding horses, and supporting youth organizations.
VP of Operations
Katy has been working in the field of early childhood and elementary education for almost 20 years. She graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis on Human Development. Katy continues her professional development through on-going administrative and management workshops and trainings.
For the last 10 years she was the director of a premier early childhood education center for children ages 6 weeks- 12 years. During her time as director, she built a team of long term staff and educators committed to creating high quality educational experiences for children of all ages. Katy led the school through NAEYC accreditation and focused on quality of programming, positive supportive environments for children and families, and building a community within a program.
In her new role as VP of Operations, Katy will support her teams in the field by providing exceptional school age programming that is safe, enriching, and inspirational for all students. She is committed to consistent and open communication to families that strengthen community connections within our program.
When Katy is not working she enjoys gardening and tending her chickens and bees with her husband and three children. Katy loves to be creative by making handmade items to share with her family and friends. She also enjoys exploring Portland neighborhoods, hiking trails and parks, and embracing the best of her unique neighborhood.
Christian Kolesar is the Field Manager for the WestLinn/ Wilsonville school district. He was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Christian attended Northern Arizona University for his Bachelors in Psychology and received his Masters in Communication from NAU as well. Christian taught public speaking at NAU and worked with high school students preparing for the SAT/ACT exams, scholarship applications, and college applications before moving to Oregon in 2016. Before accepting a position as a Field Manager, Christian was the Site Director at Terra Linda Elementary in Beaverton for 2 school years.
He has worked as a Camp Manager for the past 2 summers and is looking forward to bringing his skills and enthusiasm into his new role.
When not at Club K, Christian loves to explore new areas of Portland, visit the coast, and spend as much time in the sun as possible. He is an avid reader and loves encouraging students to invest in reading!
Amanda Lybarger is the Field Manager for the Beaverton School District and Mary Woodward in Tigard. She was born in O’Neill, Nebraska and later moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. She attended school at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska where she received her Bachelors in Education. Amanda began working with youth in high school as a Youth Activities Leader for the Fort Collins Youth Activity Center. After receiving her degree, she continued her passion for teaching as the Site Coordinator for the Chadron Middle School After School Program. She taught 5th grade Language Arts and 6th-8th grade Family and Consumer Sciences before moving to Portland.
Amanda moved here with her husband in September of 2015, and they love the Portland weather. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys cooking and baking, reading, singing, and walking and snuggling with her dog, Frankie.
Veronica Valdez is the Field Manager for the Tigard and Tualatin Club K sites. She was born in Daly City, California and moved to Southern Oregon when she was five years old. While attending the University of Portland, Veronica worked for a non-profit organization that was an after-school program, which is also in collaboration with a charter school. She continued to work for them after getting her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology. Veronica continued to work for the non-profit organization as an after-school counselor, summer counselor and a basketball coach. She was also a teacher’s aid at a charter school and coached middle school volleyball.
Veronica likes to do many activities in her free time, including, salsa dancing, singing at karaoke, hanging out with friends, reading and watching Harry Potter.
Lisa is our Office Administrator, answering our busy phone lines and providing a high level of administrative support to our site locations and management team. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas and has worked in a variety of fast paced customer service and office environments prior to working for Club K.
Having volunteered for several years at the Portland Children’s Museum, Lisa understands the value of creativity and self-expression children possess. Additionally, she spent years volunteering as a martial arts instructor focusing on developing Young Tiger’s skills and confidence. As a result, Lisa appreciates the balance of educational and active programs Club K offers elementary aged students.
Chloe was a Club K teacher at Lowrie and Boones Ferry this past school year. Prior to moving to Oregon, Chloe previously worked at Pekin Community High School in Pekin, IL, where she taught English/Composition and U.S. history. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in history. She continued her education at Illinois State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Secondary Education.
In her spare time, Chloe enjoys hiking, cooking, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with her husband, Shane, and their two cats.
Jaclyn has been working at Club K for three years. She began as a teacher, completed our Site Director in Training Program and most recently was the Site Director at the Scholls Heights Club K program when it opened in the fall of 2017. Jaclyn transitioned into an administrative position in the Main Office during the summer of 2017 and is currently our Registrar. She brings knowledge of the day to day programming to families and is able to quickly and efficiently answer their questions throughout the registration process.
Jaclyn attended Oregon State University, where she studied early childhood education and rode on one of the equestrian teams. Outside of Club K she coaches a high school equestrian team and is a 4-H leader for Washington county. She also rides on a rodeo drill team.
Cameron is our Marketing Specialist for Club K. Growing up in North Portland, he attended Columbia Christian High school in North East Portland. After high school, he moved to California where he attended Antelope Valley College and Graduated with an AA in Graphic Design. Cameron moved back to Oregon to attend Portland State University in 2011 where he joined the Co-Ed Business Fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi and became their VP of Membership. After graduating in 2015 Cameron landed an internship with Club K which grew into the position he holds today. With his degrees in Graphic Design and a bachelors in Marketing and Advertising Management, he is well rounded in branding, marketing and advertising.
Cameron’s hobbies include DIY projects, working on his photography, creating art with Adobe products and learning how to cook alongside his wife. His dream would be to travel with his wife to new places while photographing each and every experience.
IT Systems Administrator
Brad is the Supply Coordinator and Tech Advisor for Club K. He maintains the warehouse, ensuring all sites have the food and supplies needed to operate efficiently. In addition to his warehouse duties, Brad provides technical assistance to the sites as well as our Main Office staff. He makes sure our technology is updated and running at full capacity. Prior to working in the Club K office, Brad spent time as both a teacher and a Site Director in our program. Brad has been with the company since 2013 and has always enjoyed working with Club K students, as well as making sure they have everything they need to grow and learn.
Brad enjoys socializing with friends, whether it’s hiking, horseback riding, or playing video games. He is currently working on his undergraduate degree in Information Technology.
