At Club K After School Zone, our students are constantly growing, learning, and discovering. Club K understands the importance of preparing students for the future as well as the value of holding onto the spirit of child interest-driven discoveries. We integrate 21st Century Learning, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and process-based learning into our daily programming. By doing so, we are equipping our students with the skills, abilities, and passion needed to be positive contributors to our future.
Growing– The world we live in is one of constant innovation and advancement. Club K After School Zone incorporates 21st Century Learning into its daily programming to help students grow their skills and abilities to be successful within our ever-changing society. From critical thinking and problem solving to communication and collaboration, Club K promotes the development of these skills through implementation of process-based learning, Exploration Clubs, Service Learning Projects, self-directed play, and much more.
Learning– Learning comes in all shapes and sizes. Social Emotional Learning (SEL) contains five core competencies (Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making) that are important for all students to learn. Club K After School Zones embeds SEL into its daily programming by helping students understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships with one another, and make responsible choices leading to a culture of character.
Discovering– Bruce Lee said, “Learning is a constant process of discovery – a process without end,” and we agree! Through process-based learning, our students get to not only choose what they want to learn about, but also discover new interests and passions along the way. At Club K After School Zone, we believe that the journey to discovery is every bit as important as the end result.
